In Germany there are approx. 7.500 ELSAnians, who are members in one of the 42 local groups and elect the respective local board. The local groups are members of ELSA Germany and their representatives elect the National Board of ELSA Germany.

Next to the National Board, consisting of seven members, ELSA Germany has further organs. The National Council Meeting for instance is the highest decision-making body.The National Board Team is consisting of the directors of ELSA Germany, appointed by the National Board to support the National Board and work for them.

ELSA Germany keeps an Advisory Board for non-material support and consulting. For financial support ELSA Germany holds many partners within the sponsors’ pool.

Besides ELSA Germany there are 41  other national groups (approx. 32.000 members in 300  local groups). The representatives of these national groups elect the board of ELSA International, the umbrella association, which is besides the International Council Meeting an organ of ELSA International.

Next to that, ELSA Germany is a member of the “Kölner Runde”, a cooperation of several students’ associations.
